Dear forum members, I am new on this forum and hope I have chose the correct group. I am owner of a plesure yacht type Grouwstervlet in which a Vetus Deutz DTA 43 is installed. The problem is that when the engine is cold the RPM's are set at approx. 700 RPM's and after 15 minutes running the RPM's are increasing till 970 RPM's
The governor has been exchanged a number of times, the connection rod between governor and fuel pump has been renewed and recently it was thought by specialis that the gas handle bearing in the governor should be of the type of double bearing (up- and lower bearing) after dismantling it appears already a double bearing gas handle was installed.
My problem is that the boat is not anymore smoothly manoeuvring due to the high RPM's.
Is there anyone who sounds this problem familiar. I believe the Deutz type number of the engine is BF 4M 1012 EC but it may be not a Deutz problem but a Vetus problem who assembled the engine.
Awaiting your reply, I remain.
With best regards,
Joh. Dijkstra
