Hi everyone.

I am at a halt with my restoration project now. Is there anyone that could help me with a manual please? I am from South Africa, which makes it very difficult for me to buy a manual directly from Germany. Can anyone point me to where I could buy a digital copy? I really need the help from the Deutz forum as there are so many Deutz tractor and -engine owners here, someone must be able to help me. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Stefan,

fl41 weren't built into Deutz tractors. I guess some parts are pretty much similar to the fl514/612/712 engines so maybe the documentation to these might help a bit?

Hi Josef,

Thank you for the info. But I still need the original colour so I can paint the engine and reassemble it. Then I need to find all the electrical instruments with the panel.

But the problem is, it needs to be shipped, and that costs me more than the book itself. I need to find a digital copy.

Maybe you could ask the sellers if you get a digital copy instead of the printed book?

The /W type is 'Wirbelkammer' (don't know the translation) opposing to /D 'Direkteinspritzer' (direct injection). (see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Deutz-Motoren#Baureihe_FL410 )

And for the colour: I don't think that there is a real answer. It depends on where the engine was mounted. So maybe some O&K Dumper (that would be O&K blue I guess).

I'll ask them, but don't know how to contact them in the first place . :| As I don't see any contact info of the seller. I know that 'Wirbelkammer' in my language is 'werwerlkamer', so I know what you mean. Edit: I checked out the site you gave me where that operating instructions manual is listed, I tried to send an email, but that address doesn't seem to exist.

Are you saying that Deutz AG didn't paint the engines a standard colour when they left the manufacturing plants?
