Hello again Kurt, So I found a pump on Ebay for 100 Euros. That seems like a good price. http://cgi.ebay.de/Hydraulikpumpe-Traktorpumpe-15ccm-Deutz-D5506-D5206-/380276670870?pt=Pumpen&hash=item588a418196#ht_1429wt_1058 I would like to be sure that the old one is bad though..I will check the oil filter first as you advise, then try to get the air out of the system. If it still does not work would you recommend I buy the new pump? Is there a method to be certain the old one is bad? Do you think a broken pump is the most likely cause for the non working hydraulics? Will it be difficult to change? As I mentioned the Allen bolts on the pressure and return line flange connectors are very tight! :) Thanks again for all the advise. Here is a picture of the tractor - you can see I use it for clearing snow - the snofres on the back is very heavy! I do like the tractor though. I have a lot of respect for German engineering and quality - it is a pleasure to see something old work so well in cold and difficult conditions.
