Hi everyone.

I am at a halt with my restoration project now. Is there anyone that could help me with a manual please? I am from South Africa, which makes it very difficult for me to buy a manual directly from Germany. Can anyone point me to where I could buy a digital copy? I really need the help from the Deutz forum as there are so many Deutz tractor and -engine owners here, someone must be able to help me. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Best Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

fl41 weren't built into Deutz tractors. I guess some parts are pretty much similar to the fl514/612/712 engines so maybe the documentation to these might help a bit?

Hi Josef,

Thank you for the info. But I still need the original colour so I can paint the engine and reassemble it. Then I need to find all the electrical instruments with the panel.

Stefan

Thank you Martin.
But the problem is, it needs to be shipped, and that costs me more than the book itself. I need to find a digital copy.

Hi,

to make that complete:
https://www.fachliteraturversand.de...r-Ersatzteilliste-Parts-List-1971::80014.html
https://deutz-traktoren.com/produkt/deutz-betriebsanleitung-motor-f1l-410-und-f2l-410/

Maybe you could ask the sellers if you get a digital copy instead of the printed book?

The /W type is 'Wirbelkammer' (don't know the translation) opposing to /D 'Direkteinspritzer' (direct injection). (see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Deutz-Motoren#Baureihe_FL410 )

And for the colour: I don't think that there is a real answer. It depends on where the engine was mounted. So maybe some O&K Dumper (that would be O&K blue I guess).

https://www.deutzforum.de/index.php?thread/51576-deutz-f2l-410-gefunden/ - blue
https://picclick.de/Deutz-motor-F1L-410-152412622816.html - light green
https://picclick.de/Deutz-F1L-410-A-Diesel-Notstromaggregat-Siemens-8kva-264186761706.html - grey

Google picture search also shows some in yellow-orange or silver ...

Josef

Hi Josef,

Thank you again for the information.

I'll ask them, but don't know how to contact them in the first place . :| As I don't see any contact info of the seller. I know that 'Wirbelkammer' in my language is 'werwerlkamer', so I know what you mean. Edit: I checked out the site you gave me where that operating instructions manual is listed, I tried to send an email, but that address doesn't seem to exist.

Are you saying that Deutz AG didn't paint the engines a standard colour when they left the manufacturing plants?

Regards,
Stefan
