hahaha...yes, English is better... :) I found another document online that showed this: 1943 ----------- Serial 918606 - 967032 ------------- (1943 - 1944: Produktion von 5.371 Motoren in Paris) 1944 ----------- Serial 967033 - 983935 ------------- (1944: Beginn der Serienfertigung luftgekühlter Dieselmotoren; 610 Motoren bei Quint; 4 von Bremer Vulkan) 1945 ----------- Kriegsbedingter Produktionsausfall! 1946 ------------Serial 983936 - 1203100 ------------ (1203101 - 1205100 Ulmer Motoren !) 1947 ----------- Serial 1205101- 1207580 Nach 1947 ist eine korrekte Zuordnung der Motornummern nach Baujahren nicht möglich!!!! Basically, from the list above it would indicate this engine was of 1946 production. But that information contradicts the other information being that the 1944/1945 production blocks were over the 1 000 000 range. From what I understand, the 1946 Waldschlepper 1500 was made from left-over supplies, stocks, and materials from the wartime RSO. What I am "hoping" is that this engine was originally for the 1944/1945 RSO/03 production...maybe partially assembled/not complete, due to production being halted from a bombing raid on the factory. Then in 1946, was finally re-built and used in a 1946 Waldschlepper. Then...sometime after the war, it was removed from a 1946 Waldschlepper and installed back into this wartime RSO (this RSO came from a museum). I know with aircraft production, factories were assigned specific Serial Production Block Numbers. For example if Serial Numbers were 10000-30000...one factory would be assigned to build 10000-13000...one factory 13001-25000....another with 25001-30000. Similar to what is noted above. And it is not 100% certain which numbers were complete and when. I am curious if there is any definitive information? Thoughts or comments? Thanks! Michael
