Hi,

I've bought a tractor that seems to have a bit of rolling resistance when rolling forward, both in neutral and in gear. When rolling backwards it's not a problem.
I's 4wd, and the resistance is present from standstill.
After a 15 minute drive in 4th/high on tarmac there is no heat buildup on the viscous coupling between front/rear, but I do not know if that means anything.
The front wheels are a quite worn, while the rear tires are almost new.
Tips are greatly appreciated.

Hello,
The D5206A has no viscous coupling between front/rear drive.
Do the tire sizes of front and rear wheels match.
The driveline factor on the D5206A is 1,5379.

Hi thanks for replying.
I between the gearbox and the mid-axle, there is a circular box, assumed it was a viscous coupling?
In my registration papers, the front tires are 10,5x18, rear wheels are 12,4/11x32 (don't know what the /11 means?)
Mounted on the tractor are 10,5x18 in front and 14,9x28 rear.

As far as I can tell, these are the numbers:
10.5*0.85*2+18*2,54 = 91,059cm in circumference.
14,9*0,85*2+28*2,54 = 135,4582 in circumference

The front wheels has to have 1,48 revolutions for each rear revolution.
The size in the registration papers amounts to the same.
I would assume that the front wheels are missing about two centimeters of thread, while the rear tires are good as new.
The factor is then 1,54, so pretty spot on?

Hi,
Your calculation method is too theoretical.
Better is to drive the tractor one revolution and then to measure on the flat ground, front and rear.
The factor is indeed,1,54.
